The Surgical Instrument and Procedure Pack Specialist (SIPPS) is a professional sales po! sition whose primary purpose is the achievement of quarterly sales quotas by presentation, promotion, and sales of Bausch & Lomb and Storz Ophthalmic Instruments, Single Use Instruments, Knives, Procedure Packs and accessory products. In addition, the development of company goodwill and dedication to excellence in customer service is of great importance in this position.
Specific Job Duties
Perform effective territory management.

Meet/exceed sales objectives, develop new leads, maintains current business, resulting in yearly territory growth.

Call on key contacts (Nurses, Materials Managers, Central Sterile Supply) in Hospitals and
Surgery
Centers
to present/sell the B&L Instrument and Disposables product lines.

Work with surgeons in the Operating room to gain acceptance of new instruments, procedure packs and disposable products during their surgical procedures
·
Launch new products to customers to gain accep! tance of new instruments and disposable products
·
Manage the development and on-going maintenance of Procedure Packs, working with OR staff to gather configurations, updating bill of materials, integrating B+L Instruments and machine packs, managing
the quotation process and closing the sale of the pack.

Provide effective in-services to Hospital staff on instrument care and handling of instruments.
·
Execute tray inventories and generate cross references of competitive instruments to B&L catalog numbers.
Work as part of a coordinated sales team.

Develop an effective teamwork relationship with other B&L field representatives (STMs, SESs, etc) within the assigned geographical sales territory.
·
Coordinate with assigned Inside Instrument Sales Representative on a regular basis to ensure customer focus and territory coverage are maintained and procedure packs ar! e updated to include new instruments and disposables.

Effectively monitor and communicate competitive activity to the Director of Sales and Marketing and to other SIPPS.
Perform required administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.

Maintain territory sample inventory at the appropriate level, and be responsible for all documentation regarding the sale, transfer or return of these materials.

Maintain and update territory records of all customers (physicians, hospitals, outpatient centers, etc.) through SalesForce.com and other pertinent materials that will always be the property of Bausch & Lomb.

Effectively utilize and manage the territory expense budget in a responsible manner.
·
Other responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in science, business, or a related field is required plus a minimum of three years of successful ophthalmic, hospital, pharmaceutical or operating room sales experience.
Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities to meet goals.
Must be highly motivated and results driven.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs is required.
