Position:
Registered Nurse Surgical Services
Will provide ca! re to those patients undergoing surgical or other invasive care which requires physician oversight.
It is expected that staff either scrub, circulate or both as case and volume needs arise.
Services represented include ENT, General and Vascular surgery, OB/GYN, GU, Orthopedics, Dental/Maxillofacial, Neurosurgical, Podiatric and Plastic Reconstructive.
Call is an integral part of the job expectation.
The surgical nurse will work well with anesthesia by providing assistance as needed while also maintaining control and organization of the surgical suite.
Competencies include but are not limited to sterilization techniques, assessment skills, and technological skills, ability to care for infants to geriatrics and to respond to emergencies as they arise.
Basic Function:

Qualifications
Reports to:
Unit Manager and/or Director
Supervises:
C! o-workers and ancillary staff as appropriate.
Delegates to LNA! , LPN, EMT or Paramedic as per State Practice Act
Required:
Basic Life Support Certification, Registered Nurse in NH.
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, one year nursing experience in Operating Room.
