They invest heavily in leading edge technologies to improve patient ! quality and hold their position as a leader in their field of expertise.
They are seeking a Senior Principal Design Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will provide technical and project leadership, particularly with endo and laproscopic devices, for design, development and research projects. You will also have responsibilities to help move product design from design to commercialization. Part of your responsibilities will be to work with end-users (surgeons) to ensure a stable product is developed and to work in enhancements approved by senior leadership.
Qualifications:
To be considered, you must have the following skills/attributes:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
5+ years related experience
Demonstrated experience in design and development of endoscopic instruments with direct experience in the development of surgical mesh fixation devices being a significant advantag! e.
Demonstrated experience with Solidworks CAD modeli! ng for the purpose of mechanical component design, development and documentation.
Working knowledge of plastic molding processes, mold machined and cast components. Ability to perform tolerance analysis on mechanical assemblies, with direct experience in statistical tolerance analysis being preferred.
