Research Assistant

The purpose of the position is to assist the research and teaching efforts of Dr. Joseph Rosen, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and an Adj! unct Professor of Engineering at the Thayer School of Engineering.

Key Accountabilities
Managing Dr. Ros! en’s various research efforts
Preparing for and par! ticipating in lab meetings and/or update calls with groups from Thayer School of Engineering, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine, and the American Council of Academic Plastic Surgeons’ Simulation Committee
Assisting in the peer-review and grant application processes
Refining powerpoint presentations that Dr. Rosen plans to deliver nationally and internationally
Coordinating with guest speakers for ENGS 05: Virtual Medicine and Cybercare; ENGS 13: Healthcare and Biotechnology in the 21st Century; and ENGS 15: Undergraduate Investigations in Engineering
Coordinating and potentially attending volunteer surgical trips with Partners in Health in Haiti and/or Dr. Rosen’s Reconstructive, International, Cooperative Exchange ( RICE ) Project in Hanoi, Vietnam
