Director of the Arthritis Center Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic†s ! Department of Orthopaedic Surgery located at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon, NH is seeking a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon to develop and lead an Arthritis Center and serve as the department†s vice-chair. Dartmouth-Hitchcock is comprised of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic -- a multispecialty regional clinical practice, Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital -- a tertiary care hospital and a designated Level I Trauma Center, the Norris Cotton Cancer Center and the Children†s Hospital at Dartmouth.Requirements include clinical and surgical expertise in orthopaedic surgery, an established record of excellence in program development, and evidence of institutional and national leadership. The successful candidate shall also have academic achievements commensurate with appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine. Clinical excellence and an active clinical practice are necessary; an advance! d degree such as MS, MPH, MBA or Ph.D is preferred. Applicants! must have a strong interest in, and a demonstrated aptitude for teaching, research, management, and implementation of data-driven clinical practice. The position will require sustaining a clinical Orthopaedic practice at DHMC, contributing to on-call responsibilities, full involvement in the residency training program, and building a patient-centered innovative regional and national Arthritis program.
