Designs, coordinates and delivers care to meet the identified need of patients undergoing surgery or invasive procedures. Surgical specialties performed include general, orthopedics, ENT, plastics, urology, neurology, vascular, podiatry, gynecology and ophthalmology. Working in a decentralized environment, the RN is expected to practice collaboratively with physician, nurse peers and other disciplines.
Qualifications:
§ Current NH licensure as a Registered Nurse
§ Baccalaureate in nursing and/or Board certification strongly preferred
§ Completion of BSN or higher nursing degree by 2020
§ Recent nursing experience preferred
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
§ Ability to achieve the following competencies:
o Basic Life Support
o Scrubbing/Gowning/Gloving
o Aseptic Technique
o Scrubbing and Circulating Specialties
§ ENT/Plastics/Eyes
§ General/Vascular § Orthopedics/Neurological
§ Gynecological/Genitourinary
o Set-up, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting OR Equipment
§ Microscope (surgical)
§ Surgical light systems
§ Electrosurgical Units
§ Lasers, Orthopedic Systems
§ Specialty Surgery Tables
o Sterilization
o Robotics device
