This is a Per Diem Position.
Come to our renowned Pediatric Intensive Care unit (PICU) which has 10 large high tech private patient rooms, all with expansi! ve views of our natural woodland setting. This peaceful environment is soothing for parents, children, and staff alike and provides the best possible healing environment. PICU's diverse patient population ranges from: trauma, renal, cardiac (excluding cardiac surgery or transplants), general medicine/surgery and oncology to endocrinology, neurology, pulmonary and orthopedic patients. If you are interested in working in Level I Trauma Center with a small cohesive team, and lots of learning opportunities, then this might be the position for you. PICU orientation is extensive and based on individual skill level. Ranging from 4 weeks to 6 months and we provide ACLS and PALS as part of standard orientation. PICU is a wonderful environment to learn and develop. This unit provides not only outstanding patient care, but also a learning opportunity that is second to none. In this position you may work either full-time or part-time, 12 hour shifts, permanent nights and every other we! ekend. As a member of this outstanding family-centered care te! am you will assess, plan, organize, provide, and evaluate nursing care utilizing the nursing process in addition to making nursing judgments and decisions and assume responsibility for nursing care and documentation. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, a minimum of 1 year acute care experience with current NH registered nurse licensure required. Experience in either a pediatrics or critical care background. BSN preferred.
