INTAKE REPRESENTATIVE

Description: Elliot One Day Surgery Center is at present looking to employ INTAKE REPRESENTATIVE right now, this occupation will be placed in New Hampshire. For detail informations about this occupation opportunity please read the description below. POSITION SUMMARY:

Schedules all surgeries and procedures for EODSC.
·
Initiates contact with insurance companies ! to verify that authorizations and referrals are in place to ensure timely payment of services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
·
When scheduling surgery; obtains all registration data (if not in Epic), builds guarantor account, enters and verifies insurance.
·
Ensures that surgeries scheduled for EODSC are ASC appropriate.
·
Tracks cancellations.
·
Provides cosmetic cases and self pay cases to the AR representative.
·
Completes a full registration within the EPIC system.
·
Contacts the Payor and obtains authorization for services.
Enters the authorization in the Epic System and attaches the authorization to the initial visit.

Contacts the patient if there are any issues with coverage for services to be rendered.
·
Obtains authorization for services for all inter office referrals.
Enters the authorization! in the Epic System and attaches the authorization to the init! ial visit.
·
Works with the Billing Coordinator to resolve any denials which result from an authorization related issue.
·
Obtains all same day authorizations for patients presenting for their appointment with new insurance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Some college preferred.
Experience:
One (1) to two (2) years billing experience in a medical environment required.
Strong organizational and communication skills necessary in all aspects of the billing process.
Previous coding experience preferred. Excellent word processing and typing skills required.
