Electrical Engineer

Work includes the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of electronic apparatus, compone! nts of circuitry for use in biomedical devises.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide support for existing products through failure analysis of returned product; redesign legacy circuits and obsolete component replacement and qualification.
- Participate in or lead cross-functional product development teams.
- Participate in or lead the definition of product/design requirements and system architecture development.
- Design and implement electronic circuits (digital and analog) utilizing electrical circuit development tools, digital signal processing, control systems, and microelectronics.
- Test circuits and systems.
- Document release of design.
- Development of design requirements.
- Design electronic circuits and programmable logic.
- Select electronic components; develop circuit boards and wiring harnesses.
- Verify and validate circuits and products.
- Follow documented design! processes to meet regulatory and company requirements. Comply with the site Quality System.
- B.S. electrical engineering or related discipline, and experience with detailed analog and digital design, and test and measurement equipment operation.
- Ability to work under only general direction while independently determining the approach to problems and solutions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; including technical writing skills.
- Able to use and apply technical principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
- Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of large scope and complexity.
- Able to work and communicate effectively with other engineers, designers, surgeons, marketers,and suppliers to develop products from concept through commercialization in a cross-functional team.
- Able to represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues.
- Strong problem solving a! nd analytical skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects and manage priorities accordingly.
- Must be flexible in a changing professional environment.
- Effective use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Masters in EE or equivalent.
- Embedded hardware and software design experience.
- Familiarity with IEC 60601 & 62304.
- Competency with PADS or equivalent layout & capture tool.
- Experience and knowledge of electrical and electronic devices for the medical industry.
