Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 07/15/2013Available S! hifts: 8 Hour/Day
Board Eligible/ Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice physician in an eastern New Hampshire outpatient clinic for a job opportunity starting in July. This job offers a 3 day work week 8hr days. The provider must be well-versed in a Primary Care Adult Medicine setting.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
NH licensed Internal Medicine or Family practice physician needed - 07/1! 5 - 08/02 - Mon, Wed, Thurs: 9a - 4:00p, No call. Type of pati! ents seen: 100% adult, 20-25ppd, average age 14 - up. Typical cases seen: Sick & Well visits, Follow up visits, and physicals. Support staff: 1 x NP, and 1 x IM doc (only avail for the 1st week).
