Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Full time adult geriatric Psychiatris! t is needed in New Hampshire for an immediate and ongoing opportunity. Provider will be working between the inpatient and outpatient locations within the medical center. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm, 1:3 or 1:4 weekends. A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication i! s subscribed, often practices medication management.
