Location: Jaffrey New Hampshire

Position Description:
The Mold Process Engineer will take an important role in the molding and new products division such as coordination of new mold designs, processes, and validations. Also developing dec! oupled mold processes using RJG Master Molder standards. In ad! dition they will be supporting existing molds and processes.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Startup of new/existing projects/production jobs, optimizing design, cost, efficiency, quality, and process repeatability.
  • Ensure process control and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Monitor the process of molds running in production, troubleshooting problem molds and assisting in resolving quality issues.
  • Establish processes and debug new molds using RJG decoupled molding standards and scientific principles.
  • Utilize knowledge and experience of the injection molding process to provide solutions to machine, tooling, material, SQC, SPC, and production work flow problems.
  • Read machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
  • Oversee new mold projects including quotes, designs, debugging, process building, validating and production implementation.
  • Work with QC documenting process development and changes,.
  • Coordinate maintenance of molds; specify repair or alteration of molds while ensuring adequate documentation is maintained.
  • Perform designed experiments to enhance processes as well as improve yields and utilization through reduced cycle and efficient setups.
  • Setup of molding runs, (if needed) follow-up on progress of tool. Process and automation improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to other engineers and manufacturing employees.
  • Work with Mold Technician on improvements for mold preventative maintenance, inventory, spare parts, and tracking mold movement.
  • Write manufacturing procedures and validation protocols.
Requirements:
Education

  • B.S. Degree in manufacturing or plastics engineering or equivalent in education or experience.
  • RJG Certified Technician (Level 2 Edart training preferred)
  • Work experience/Skills

    • 1-4 years in injection mold! ing environment with specific exposure to machine maintenance and processing parameters and controls.

    • SolidWorks, Project Management, Six Sigma,
